1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Shoqi.io (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service Is

Shoqi.io provides Bazi (八字) astrology charts, reports, and related guidance generated from the birth details you provide.

3. For Personal Insight Only — Not Professional Advice

The charts, reports, and guidance are provided for personal insight and entertainment only. They are NOT medical, financial, legal, psychological, or other professional advice, and are not a substitute for consulting a qualified professional.

We make no representation or warranty that any reading is accurate, complete, or will produce any particular outcome. You should not make medical, financial, legal, or other important decisions based on the Service. You use the Service, and rely on its output, entirely at your own risk.

4. Eligibility & Your Data

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. You confirm that any birth details you submit are your own, or that you have the right and consent of the person they belong to.

5. Your Account

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Authentication is handled by our provider (Clerk).

6. Payments & Refunds

Paid features are billed through our payment processor, Stripe. Prices are shown before purchase. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable once the corresponding report has been generated. Any applicable refund or cancellation terms will be stated at the point of purchase.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by scraping, reverse-engineering, reselling, overloading, or attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its data.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, and generated report templates, is owned by Shoqi.io and protected by law. You retain ownership of the birth details you submit; you grant us the rights needed to operate the Service and generate your reports as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shoqi.io will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.

10. Changes, Termination & Governing Law

We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be notified and, where required, will ask for your renewed consent. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Shoqi.io is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
